Business Computing BSc
This interdisciplinary degree combines the breadth of Information Technologies, (electronic offices programming, databases, and the internet) and the essential areas of Business, (management marketing, accounting, economics, and law). Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to understand business functions and to getboardroom.net analyze the information needs of users to develop and implement information systems.
You’ll discover how to recognize intuitively, by combining of practical and theoretical knowledge the dynamic combination of processes needed for information delivery systems to perform their role in an organisation. You’ll also be able to recognize that an organization is always changing and evolving, and how the systems for information of that organisation must be able to adjust to these changes and new demands and requirements from users.
You’ll build your IT and computing skills in your second year through workshops and project work. Our professors will share their research knowledge with students, and they’ll give you the chance to participate in an industrial placement year, where you’ll be able to put your new knowledge into practice in a real-world setting.
Our teaching methodology is focused on the most current technological advancements, and we focus on the application of new technologies in business. You can select from a variety of modules including Big Data Analytics and Informatics Strategy and Management, as and e-Business Technology. The course is complemented by regular guest speakers from top companies who help demonstrate the practical relevance of the subject you’re studying and the potential for professional success for our graduates.
